Because PlaylistBuilder curates YouTube videos, you must sign in with Google, using a Google account. PlaylistBuilder has been approved by Google.
The Google account that you use should be the one that manages the YouTube channel on which you want to create playlists. If you do not have a YouTube channel, first (you can log in and search for videos without a YouTube channel, but you won't be able to and you'll see an error message).
Signing in requires just a few clicks:
From the PlaylistBuilder , click the "Log In" link to take you to the log-in page.
On the log-in page, review the privacy notice and then click the "Sign in with Google" button. (The page also provides a demo video for PlaylistBuilder.)
In the Google dialogue that appears, choose the account that manages your YouTube channel.
If you have more than one YouTube channel in your account, make sure that one is before you sign in.
If you have a Google "brand account" for the YouTube channel, you can use that to sign in (but during beta testing, please alert your LearnerShape contact so we can authorize you to publish playlists to the brand account).
Once you have signed in, you will see a simple but powerful dashboard with a menu on the left-hand side, for these pages:
"My Workspaces" - provides access to the workspaces you have (with a drop-down menu for display options) and using each workspace -- you can also workspaces or "Copy Search" to create a new workspace based on the same search
"Archived" - after 30 days, your search is archived and search results are deleted -- just click "Copy Search" to re-run and update the same search
"My Groups" - visible if you have created one or more
"Create New Workspace" - for to build a workspace
"Account" - this option will be available soon when we launch a paid version.
